Jupiter in the 8th house: No nonsense actual results

When Jupiter is placed in the 8th sign, it is not the best placement of Jupiter classically. Jupiter’s most favored placement is the 1st house, followed by the other two trines. After that comes the 2nd or 11th house, where Jupiter gives excellent materialistic success. Jupiter’s placement in the Kendras comes next, where Jupiter promotes stability in life. People with Jupiter in Kendra lead a comfortable life. They might not see a lot of growth in life (subject to other factors, of course!), but they will not see any major ups and downs either.
When Jupiter goes to the dushtana, the benefic results of Jupiter go to those houses. The first result is Jupiter’s influence on the moksha trine. There will be positive results related to mental well-being, peace, and comfort in life. The person will have excellent longevity, do check the overall strength of the chart and Saturn as well. This is subject to afflictions as well. If Jupiter and the 8th house are in affliction from Saturn, Mars, Rahu, Ketu, the negative results will be visible. Especially with regard to Jupiter’s significations such as children, prosperity, wealth, higher education, the person themselves (their health) as well.
In the absence of afflictions, the person can gain out of the significations of the 8th house, such as research, mining, underground, occult, astrology, etc. If the 8th house is functioning positively, the person can get unexpected gains in life. They might be a workaholic, spending most of their time at their job or business. Jupiter in the 8th will be in the 11th house from the 10th house. This combination will deliver excellent results for the career of the person.

In his free time, he writes scripts for the theatre and teaches guitar to his ten-year-old nephew Neel. His posts on astrology have something for everyone: they are full of wisdom nuggets that appeal to advanced astrologers, and break down dense theoretical concepts for beginners in astrology. He might offer a course on astrology if enough number of students ask for it! Hence, I had been asking him to write a guest blog post for my website for a few days now and here it comes:
First, let’s break some myths. Emphatically a Rahu Mahadasha does not necessarily give bad results. In fact, it does give Meteoric Growth equally well. However, practically most people tend to have quite a messy time during a Rahu Dasha.
