Sneha Jha comes from a family of traditional astrology practitioners of India. Her grandfather, a high school teacher was a revered astrologer in the Madhubani district of Bihar.

For her, astrology represents a mix of the disciplines of humanities and sciences, where interpretations and the frames of references the astrologer uses are as important as the results of combinations of planets written in classical texts. She likes to think of the horoscope as a chessboard, where every single movement of a planet will change the way you will make sense of the horoscope together.

Sneha Jha’s alma maters are University of Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and University of California, Irvine. She has held research positions at Harvard University and the University of Oxford respectively in 2016 and 2018.

Sneha is an astrologer, researcher, thinker, and blogger by the day, and a street fashion designer by the night. When she is not working over horoscopes, you can find her thinking through ideas with her favorite authors, writing for her blog, writing answers on Quora, or cooking up delicacies in the kitchen.
